Aloba gave us prayers. He came to The Center and visited America only once. We were all in the Refrectory sitting around on chairs and benches and Aloba was telling a story. He was on the floor moving this way and that way, oh he was just animated telling the story, and we were all watching his movements—almost like they meant more than his words, I guess, and it was so beautiful. When he was here on that visit he gave Jeff and I a prayer to say, “Meher Baba, Meher Baba, Meher Baba,” three times before going to bed. Aloba said if you are traveling you say the prayer together at 9:00 in the evening, otherwise if you are home always say the prayer before midnight. So we always say this prayer, and have continued, and haven’t missed a night. Aloba said, “He’ll take care of everything and don’t worry about a thing, He’ll take care of everything.” At that time we had lots of things that needed taking care of. Not just our souls, but our bodies and the work, and our business and everything, but the Mandali always seemed to take care of us.
